In alignment with the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education’s mission, vision, and goals, Arkansas Deaf Educational Services works to promote positive outcomes for all of Arkansas' students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by providing leadership, support, and services to students and their schools.
Our Mission
Stacey Tatera, Deaf Education Specialist
Stacey Tatera has spent more than 30 years serving Deaf children. Much of her career was spent as a teacher, educational coordinator, and administrator at the Arkansas School for the Deaf. Stacey has traveled to schools and programs throughout Arkansas, the United States, and Europe, conducting professional development and providing consultation to improve outcomes and to champion Deaf children and their teachers.
